By accessing or using ContractScout ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ContractScout is a software platform that helps users search, filter, and track federal government contract opportunities. We aggregate publicly available data from SAM.gov and other government sources to provide opportunity intelligence, email alerts, and search functionality.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Subscriptions and Payment

Free Tier: Limited features are available at no cost. Usage limits apply as described on our pricing page.

Paid Plans: Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Your access will continue until the end of the current billing period.

Refunds: We offer refunds on a case-by-case basis. Contact [email protected] with refund requests.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Scrape, crawl, or spider the Service without permission
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
  • Share account credentials with others

6. Data Accuracy Disclaimer

ContractScout provides information derived from publicly available government sources. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that the data is complete, current, or error-free. Always verify information on the official SAM.gov website before making business decisions. Contract opportunities, deadlines, and requirements may change without notice on the source systems.

7. Opportunity Intelligence Disclaimer

Incumbent data, eligibility information, and agency activity metrics are derived from historical data analysis. They are provided for informational purposes only and should not be the sole basis for your bidding decisions. Past performance does not guarantee future results.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding government data), is owned by ContractScout and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CONTRACTSCOUT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST CONTRACTS, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST TWELVE MONTHS.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Terms on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which ContractScout operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
